Published: October 01, 2023
Super Eagles forwards Terem Moffi and Moses Simon have been named in Whoscored.com's Ligue 1 Team of the Month for September.
The duo were in brilliant form for OGC Nice and Nantes respectively in the just-concluded month and merit their places in the team.
Moffi scored three goals and registered one assist in three appearances for Nice and only failed to record a goal contribution in the Eaglets' 1-0 victory over Monaco in September.
The highlight of the 24-year-old's performance was against PSG on matchday 5 where he scored a brace and notched an assist to help Nice record a 3-2 win over the defending champions at the Parc des Princes.
Simon on the other hand registered two goals and three assists in three appearances for Nantes in the month under review.
The 28-year-old's stand-out performance was in his side's 5-3 win over Lorient on matchday 6, having bagged a goal and two assists in the encounter.
The Ligue 1 Team of the Month is dominated by PSG who have 4 players in the team including Manuel Ugarte, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé.
