Former Flying Eagles centre-back Igoh Ogbu has been named in Whoscored.com's UEFA Europa League Team of the Week for the second consecutive time.
Ogbu starred for Slavia Prague in their 6-0 demolition of Sheriff Tiraspol played yesterday night at the Fortuna Arena.
The Nigerian defender doubled the Czech Republican side's lead in the 7th minute with a towering header having been assisted by Lukáš Masopust.
Having scored in Slavia Prague's victory over Servette on matchday one, the 23-year-old has now scored 2 goals in the Europa League this campaign.
Ogbu is joined in the Europa League Team of the Week by former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina who was impressive for Villarreal in their victory over Rennes and West Ham midfielder Lucas Paquetá.
Roma have the most representatives with World Cup winner Leandro Paredes, Andrea Belotti and Zeki Çelik all named in the team.
Ogbu joined Slavia Prague in the January transfer window from Norwegian side Lillestrøm and has quickly established himself as a key player for the side, making 14 appearances across all competitions so far in the 2023-2024 season.
