Report claims Fulham will be in the market for a right-sided CB in case Tottenham, Monaco target Tosin leaves
Published: October 29, 2023
Fulham will reportedly consider signing a right-sided central defender in the January transfer window in case Tosin Adarabioyo leaves Craven Cottage.
Tosin will enter the last six months of his contract with Fulham at the start of January and was heavily linked with potential moves to Tottenham Hotspur and French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in the summer transfer window.
The Manchester City academy product was angling for a move away from Fulham in the days leading up to the close of the summer transfer window but the Cottagers blocked his transfer because they couldn't sign a replacement.
Football Insider claims Fulham will be in the market for a right-sided centre-back in the January window with Tosin Adarabioyo expected to leave the club.
Fulham are short on options in the right-sided centre-back position with Issa Diop and Tosin sidelined by injuries.
Against Tottenham Hotspur six days ago, left-footed Super Eagles central defender Calvin Bassey was deployed on the right side of central defence but was exposed as his errors led to the two goals conceded by Fulham.
Tosin's game time has been limited this season due to a groin injury that required surgery.
However, the 26-year-old has started partial training and should be available for selection after the international break in November.
