Two young Nigerian strikers including Gift Orban wanted by Eintracht Frankfurt
Published: November 08, 2023
Two young Nigerian center forwards are on the radar of German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of the January transfer window.
According to German sports magazine Kicker, Eintracht Frankfurt want to bolster their squad with the signing of at least one striker in January and are considering moves for KAA Gent striker Gift Orban and Viktoria Plzen rising star Rafiu Durosinmi.
Eintracht Frankfurt remain interested in Durosinmi despite the striker recovering from a serious injury that could keep him out of action until next year.
The 20-year-old suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament during the Fortuna Liga match against Slovan Liberec on October 21.
Durosinmi put himself in the shop window prior to his spell on the sidelines, notching fifteen goal involvements (9 goals, 6 assists) in nineteen appearances across all competitions this season.
KAA Gent are willing to let go of Orban in the winter market provided his asking price is met by an interested club.
Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller has limited options in attack after the late departures of Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain and Rafael Santos Borré to Werder Bremen on deadline day.
While Orban is under contract with Gent until June 2027, Durosinmi is tied to Viktoria Plzen until June 2026.
