'See you soon' - Collins sends message to Cardiff City teammate ahead of possible cap-tying game v Nigeria
Published: November 19, 2023
Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins has sent a message to his Cardiff City teammate, Andy Rinomhota ahead of a possible cap-tying game for Zimbabwe in their 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria on Sunday afternoon.
Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire to a Zimbabwean father and Welsh mother, Rinomhota is qualified to represent the Warriors at international level through his father and Wales through his mother, but has pledged his international future to the Southern African nation.
Rinomhota is with the Zimbabwe national team at their training camp in Rwanda and was a non-playing substitute in their goalless draw against the Wasps on matchday one.
The 26-year-old is excited to link up with the Zimbabwe squad and looking forward to the game against Nigeria.
Rinomhota is familiar with several Nigerian players as he is teammates with Jamilu Collins at Cardiff City and has faced Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Nathan Tella in EFL Championship games.
"All smiles. Excited for what’s next," Rinomhota posted on Instagram on Saturday.
Replying to Rinomhota's post, Collins said, 'See you soon', accompanied by eyes and bald eagle emojis.
