Super Eagles-eligible defender agrees new long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur

According to transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano, Destiny Udogie has agreed a new long-term deal with Tottenham Hostpur.
The Super Eagles-eligible defender joined Spurs in the summer of 2022 from Hellas Verona but was immediately loaned out to Udinese to get more game time.
Upon the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager in the summer, the Australian tactician decided to retain the 21-year-old rather than let him spend another season elsewhere.
Udogie quickly impressed the former Celtic boss and has climbed up the ladder to become Tottenham's first-choice left-back.
He has only failed to start two Premier League games this season, one he missed due to injury and another as a result of a suspension after he got dismissed in Spurs' loss to Chelsea last month.
The talented full-back got his first goal for the club yesterday in their 4-1 victory over Newcastle, a victory which also ended their 5-game winless run in the Premier League.
With Udogie being touted to become a world-class left-back shortly, it makes sense for Tottenham to commit him to a long-term contract despite his current deal expiring in 2027.
The north London-based side are seeking to become one of the best teams in the Premier League once again under Postecoglou and the Italian-Nigerian defender has a role to play in that.
