CAF Team of the Year 2023: Osimhen joins Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, West Ham players in ideal XI

The Confederation of African Football announced the CAF Team of the Year 2023 at the CAF Awards 2023 held in the Moroccan city of Marrakech on Monday night, December 11, 2023.
The ideal XI consisting of the best player for each position was compiled by Fédération Internationale des Associations de Footballeurs Professionnels (FIFPRO) Africa.
Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco and Ghana have contributed two players each to the Best XI while Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt have one representative apiece.
As expected, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, recently crowned Africa's Player of the Year for 2023 has been included in the Best XI and joining the Super Eagles star in a three-man attack are Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and another player with a Reds connection in Sadio Mane.
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana made the cut largely due to his performances for Inter Milan over the course of the 2022-2023 season and he's protected by a back three of Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain/Morocco), Chancel Mbemba (Olympique Marseille/DR Congo)and Kalidou Koulibaly (Al-Hilal/Senegal).
André-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Napoli/Cameroon), Mohammed Kudus (West Ham United/Ghana), Sofyan Amrabat (Manchester United/Morocco) and Thomas Partey (Arsenal/Ghana) take up the midfield spots.
