Arsenal consider move for Super Eagles-eligible player as potential replacement for N35b-rated striker
Published: January 07, 2024
As reported by Daily Star, Arsenal are willing to sign Dominic Solanke this month and have identified how to bring the in-form striker over to the Emirates.
According to the report, the London-based club are said to be considering selling Eddie Nketiah if they sign the Bournemouth striker.
In addition, Arsenal are willing to sell the English forward around £30m (approximately N35 billion in Nigerian currency) due to the need to balance the books for FFP reason if they sign Solanke or any other player in this current window.
The 26-year-old is beginning to show his proficiency in front of goal and has grabbed the headlines for his match-winning performances in recent weeks.
With 12 goals scored in the Premier League this season, the Super Eagles-eligible striker has more goals than Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus combined and he could be what Arsenal need to win their first league title since the 2003/2004 Invincible season.
The Cherries' striker is not the only one on the radar of the 13-time English champions, Brentford star Ivan Toney is also being considered and the club are ready to sign any of the duo this month.
