Report: Super Eagles-eligible winger open to leaving Chelsea on loan in the summer
Published: March 13, 2024
Super Eagles-eligible forward Noni Madueke is reportedly open to leaving Chelsea in the summer.
As revealed by TEAMtalk, the talented winger wants to leave Stamford Bridge on a loan deal to get more playing time under his belt as he has struggled to get enough minutes this season.
The 22-year-old has started just nine games across all competitions this term- four in the Premier League, three in the FA Cup and two in the Carabao Cup.
Madueke joined the Blues in January 2022 from PSV but has failed to live up to expectations and has not been helped by the continuous acquisition of young talents by the London-based club.
He initially attempted to leave Chelsea last January on a loan deal, with a number of sides in England interested in him, but the club failed to approve his exit.
With his position in the team remaining uncertain, the England youth International is open to finding greener pastures elsewhere, at least in the short term.
As stated also in TEAMtalk's report, there are clubs within and outside the Premier League ready to sign the Anglo-Nigerian forward on a loan deal in the summer.
