Transfer battle alert: Inter Milan and Arsenal lock horns in the race to sign Super Eagles-eligible defender

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia, Inter Milan are ready to rival Arsenal for talented Italian-Nigerian fullback Michael Kayode in the summer.
The Italian giants have run the rule over the Fiorentina right back severally this season and have been impressed by his quality.
Inter Milan want to use the 19-year-old as a replacement for Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries whose contract ends in June 2025.
With Dumfries not ready to sign a contract extension, the Nerazzurri are ready to sell the Dutch defender in the summer to prevent losing him for free.
Kayode made his Serie A debut at the start of the season and his performances have taken everyone by surprise, ranking as one the best right-backs in the Serie A this campaign.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he has caught the attention of Premier League giants Arsenal and now Inter Milan.
He recently signed a new contract with Fiorentina which will expire in the summer of 2028, which means it will take a sizable fee to secure his signature this summer.
Since making his first-team debut, the Italy youth international has started 24 games across all competitions, registering five goal involvements.
