PSG and Chelsea target Osimhen's next destination? Thiago Motta's agent jumps on the bandwagon
Published: April 03, 2024
Dario Canovi, who looks after former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta, has jumped on the bandwagon regarding Victor Osimhen's next destination when he leaves Napoli at the end of the current season.
Around two months before the summer transfer window opens for business, Osimhen's likely destination has already started to dominate the back pages at home and abroad.
Although Osimhen is admired by the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, everything is pointing to the fact that Ligue 1 moneybags Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are the two major clubs going all out to sign the Super Eagles striker.
If the reigning African Footballer of the Year departs Naples as anticipated this summer, it will only happen if a club activates his release clause of no less than 120 million euros.
Osimhen has stated that he would love to play in the Premier League but Canovi thinks the Nigerian is Paris Saint-Germain-bound.
Nothing has changed regarding the future of Kylian Mbappe at PSG as the 2018 World Cup winner is set to end his seven-year association with the capital club at the end of the season, with Osimhen lined up as his replacement.
"Osimhen's future? In my opinion he is likely to play in PSG, it would be the most successful signing after the farewell of Mbappè who has already been at Real Madrid for months," Canovi said on Radio Kiss Kiss via Tuttomercatoweb.
"I see a farce that has been going on for some time so as not to say it. Mbappè sent the coach to hell and also insulted him the mother. The only team that has Mbappè in hand is Real Madrid."
Osimhen has scored 131 career goals in 251 appearances combined for club and country, with 72 of those goals coming in the colours of Napoli after making the move from Lille in 2020.
