Akor Adams: Turkish giants Besiktas have zero chance of signing Montpellier striker this summer
Published: May 05, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Beşiktaş J.K.have zero chance of signing Akor Adams amid spurious reports linking the former Nigeria U20 international with a possible move to the Turkish giants in the summer transfer window.
Hakan Kurt, journalist working for Istanbul-based newspaper Milliyet, had suggested that Akor Adams was offered to Beşiktaş.
This website can confirm that no talks have taken place between the leadership of the Black Eagles and Adams' camp over a potential deal and the striker has also made it clear he is not interested in moving to any Turkish club next season.
The former Lillestrom man made a blistering start to his career at Montpellier, notching seven goals in his first ten appearances in the French Ligue 1.
And in doing so, he became the first player to score seven goals after 10 matchdays in the Ligue 1 for Montpellier since the 2011-2012 season when former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud did the same for the club.
Overall, Adams has registered twelve goal involvements (10 goals, 2 assists) in 31 matches since landing in France.
The 24-year-old joined Montpellier last August in exchange for 4.5 million euros, signing a four-year deal that would keep him at the Stade de la Mosson until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
He was linked with the likes of West Ham United and AC Milan in the January transfer window but a deal did not happen.
