CD Leganés center forward Sydney Osazuwa and Valencia winger David Otorbi Ejededawe are set to represent Spain in their first major tournament, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Osazuwa and Otorbi have been named in Spain's squad for the 2024 European U17 Championship holding in Cyprus from May 20 to June 5.
Born in Fuenlabrada to Nigerian parents, Osazuwa became provisionally cap-tied to the European giants when he made his competitive debut in an U17 Euro qualifier against Norway in March 2024.
Valencia native Otorbi is also provisionally cap-tied to the Spaniards, having played his first competitive game in an U17 Euro qualifier last October.
When Otoribi made his first team debut against FC Cartagena on January 7, 2024, he became the youngest ever player in the history of Valencia, aged 16 years and 83 days.
Overall, he received eight call-ups for first team matches this season and featured off the bench in two .
Sydney Osazuwa became the second youngest debutant in the history of Leganes, only behind Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o after making his senior debut in a LaLiga 2 game against Real Oviedo on January 27, 2024 at the age of 16 years and 281 days.
Osazuwa scored nine goals in the División de Honor Juvenil de Fútbol in 2023-2024 and his standout performance for Spain U17s was netting a hat-trick against Slovenia in an U17 Euro qualifier two months ago.
Spain begin their U17 Euro campaign against Portugal on Tuesday, May 21 at Dasaki Stadium (Achna) before playing France and England on May 24 and May 27 respectively.
