Former Super Eagles left-back Michael Emenalo has reportedly reached out to Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, regarding a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
De Bruyne, a prominent figure in Manchester City's midfield, currently has one year remaining on his contract with the Premier League club. However, Emenalo's contact suggests the possibility of a new chapter in the Belgian playmaker's career.
According to renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, during a YouTube broadcast, Emenalo has directly contacted De Bruyne, exploring the prospects of a transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
Romano highlighted the Saudi league's keenness to engage in negotiations with De Bruyne and offer an enticing project tailored specifically to him.
He emphasized that Michael Emenalo, overseeing transfers for the Saudi Pro League, has already initiated direct discussions with De Bruyne to validate the league's interest this year.
Despite boasting several stars, the Saudi league aspires to elevate De Bruyne as one of its prominent figures.
"Michael Emenalo is taking care of transfers for the Saudi Pro League, already had some direct contact with Kevin De Bruyne to confirm also this year the interest from the Saudi Pro League in having more stars and making Kevin De Bruyne one of the faces of their long-term project in Saudi, " Romano said.
Emenalo, who now oversees transfers for the Saudi Pro League, aims to make De Bruyne one of the prominent faces of the league, adding to its growing roster of stars.
De Bruyne himself has hinted at the possibility of such a move, stating that discussions with his wife about moving to a new country are increasingly taking place within the family.
