Super Eagles GK bids farewell to Hapoel Jerusalem with potential move to Cyprus on the cards

Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has written a heartfelt farewell message to Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem F.C. as his contract comes to an end in June 2024.
Adeleye has been heavily linked with an imminent transfer to Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimni, who are managed by Israeli coach Ori Guttman.
Adeleye, originally from the B-United Football Academy in Lagos State, Nigeria, joined Hapoel Jerusalem F.C in 2018.
He quickly made his mark, initially impressing with the U19 squad, Hapoel Katamon, before progressing to his senior debut against Hapoel Rishon leZion in August 2019.
During his tenure with Hapoel Jerusalem, Adeleye played a pivotal role in the club's journey to promotion to the Israeli Premier League.
His contribution included an impressive tally of 19 clean sheets, crucial to their second-place finish in the Liga Leumit.
Taking to social media, Adeleye conveyed his appreciation to the club for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout his time there.
He credited Hapoel Jerusalem for aiding his development and pushing him to excel in every aspect of the game.
"A big thank you to hapoel Jerusalem for your supports and motivations, good 6 years with the club wasn’t a waste thanks for encouraging me to keep striving for the best you’ll forever remain in my heart @HapoelJLMfc," Adeleye expressed in his farewell message.
Aside from his achievements at club level, Adebayo Adeleye has also represented Nigeria across various age categories, before earning his senior national team debut in a memorable 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone in 2023.
