Published: June 29, 2024
Italian Serie B club Bari are on the brink of confirming the signing of left-footed Nigerian central defender Nosa Obaretin.
Transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Obaretin will spend the upcoming season on loan at Bari.
He spent last season on loan at Serie C team Trento, where he played in thirty five games and was on target twice..
Former Napoli boss Rudy Garcia monitored him during preparations for the 2023-2024 season before the player was farmed out on loan to the Gialloblu.
Born in Forlì on January 26, 2003, Obaretin was nurtured in the youth setup of Milan.
He took part in 22 matches combined in the Primavera 1 and Coppa Primavera during the 2020-2021 season .
In the following season, he played 21 times for AC Milan's Primavera in the Championship and Cup, also debuting and making 5 appearances in the UEFA Youth League.
Obaretin turned out for Napoli's Primavera team in 2022-2023, scoring three goals in 33 appearances in the youth league.
Standing 1.89 meters tall, Obaretin is adept at playing both as a left-sided central defender in a back three and as a left back in a back four.
