As confirmed in a statement on their official website, EFL Championship club Plymouth Argyle, who are being coached by Manchester United record top scorer Wayne Rooney, have confirmed the signing of former Flying Eagles striker Mohamed Tijani on a season-long loan.
Argyle grabbed the signing of the 23-year-old from Czech Republic side Slavia Prague and also have an option to buy him at the end of his loan term.
The Nigerian striker joined Prague last summer and scored four goals in 33 all-competition appearances while regsitering three assists.
As confirmed by Argyle's Director of Football, Neil Dewsnip, Tijani was motivated to join the English second tier side due to Rooney and they will be hoping he can help them get promotion to the Premier League in the forthcoming season.
In a separate transfer on Tuesday, July 2, Belgian Pro League side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise have also announced the capture of Canadian-Nigerian striker Promise David from Estonian side Kalju FC.
The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, who hold a club option for the 2027-2028 season.
David has been one of the finest strikers in the Premium Liga, the topflight division in Estonia in the current season, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists
He started his career at the Toronto FC Academy and has gone to represent Vaughan Azzurri, NK Trnje, FC Tulsa, Valletta FC, Sirens FC and Nõmme Kalju.
