Udoh to ask for jersey number last worn by Wolves loanee after completing Wycombe move
Published: July 03, 2024Through a statement on their official website, League One side Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of 2013 Golden Eaglets invitee Daniel Udoh, subject to EFL and FA approval.
A striker by trade, Udoh has joined the Chairboys on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Shrewsbury Town.
During his five-year association with Shrewsbury Town, the 27-year-old tallied 38 goals and registered 16 assists in 181 games across all competitions.
Udoh is the eighth player signed by Wycombe Wanderers this summer, following in the footsteps of Alex Hartridge, Jaiden Bartolo, Jack Matton, Nathan Bishop, Brody Peart, Tyreeq Bakinson and Daniel Harvie.
Having spent his formative years at Luton Town and Stevenage, the attacker joined Kidderminster Harriers in 2014 followed by spells at Worcester City, Wingate & Finchley, Grays Athletic, Hoddesdon Town and Ilkeston.
He also lists Crewe Alexandra, Solihull Moors, Halesowen Town, Chester, Leamington and AFC Telford United as his previous employers.
The Ojuelegba-born player was not assigned a jersey number during his presentation on Wednesday, July 3.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Udoh will ask for Wycombe Wanderers number 11 shirt last worn by Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Chem Campbell in the second half of last season.
Previous holders of the shirt include Harry Boyes, Anis Mehmeti, Lewis Wing, Scott Kashket, Sam Wood, James Harper, Kevin Betsy , Chris Zebroski, Martin Bullock, Ian Stonebridge and Dannie Bulman.
Udoh played with the number 11 on his back in his last three seasons at Shrewsbury Town.
