Daniel Aiyenugba: Son of ex-Super Eagles GK helps Beyond Limits FA reach semifinals of Gothia Cup

Daniel Aiyenugba, son of former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba, has been impressive for Beyond Limits Football Academy, guiding them to the semifinals of the prestigious Gothia Cup in Sweden.
His remarkable performances also played a crucial role in Beyond Limit's promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) from the Nigeria National League (NNL) playoffs.
Following their domestic success, the team traveled to Sweden to compete in the Gothia Cup, where they have continued to impress on the international stage.
In the quarter-finals of the Gothia Cup, Beyond Limit faced Ghana's Right to Dream. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after regulation time, but Daniel Aiyenugba's heroics in the penalty shootout proved pivotal.
Beyond Limit emerged victorious 8-7 in the shootout, with Aiyenugba making crucial saves to thwart the Ghanaians.
In another thrilling quarter-final encounter, Sporting Lagos defeated Cote d'Ivoire's ASEC 4-3, securing their spot in the semifinals.
Beyond Limit will now face Sporting Lagos in the semifinals of the 2024 Gothia Cup on Friday, with the match set to take place at the SKF Arena, kicking off at 4:20 pm.
The other semi-final will see Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna, who overcame TikiTaka Nigeria in their quarter-final clash, go up against Japan's Tokyo FC.
