2023 Flying Eagles invitee leaving Crystal Palace on loan for foreign club; multiple EFL teams miss out
Published: August 05, 2024
According to South London Press & Mercury, Crystal Palace striker Ademola Ola-Adebomi is on the verge of joining Belgian Challenger Pro League side SK Beveren on loan from Crystal Palace
SK Beveren have seen off competition from multiple English Football League club, including Stockport County, Stevenage, Fleetwood Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Bromley, to land the services of Ola-Adebomi.
The report stated that the Belgian outfit want to sign the 2023 Flying Eagles invitee as a replacement for Goduine Koyalipou who has been linked with a move to England.
Koyalipou was the Belgian second tier top scorer last season and looks to be on his way out of the club with Ola-Adebomi being lined up as a replacement.
The 20-year-old is a key player for Palace's development squad but is yet to make his debut for the first team though he has been named in the matchday squad on four occasions.
He was named in the matchday squad for the first time in a Carabao Cup tie against Manchester United last season before being named on the bench thrice in the Premier League.
Ola-Adebomi spent the second half of the last campaign on loan with English third tier side Burton Albion, recording three goal involvements in 14 games.
With the likelihood of featuring for the Eagles' first team being slim in the forthcoming campaign, it appears that the Nigeria-eligible striker is on the verge of leaving Selhurst Park for the second time on a temporary basis.
