Iheanacho makes unofficial debut, ex-Reds trialist Ejuke bags assist as Sevilla taught lesson by Liverpool

Kelechi Iheanacho was handed his unofficial debut when Sevilla took on Liverpool in a pre-season fixture at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with the Reds battering the Spanish side 4-1 in front of their fans.
Diogo Jota gave the Premier League giants the lead in the 30th minute after Trent Alexander-Arnold one-time pass found the Portuguese who deliciously volleyed the ball home.
Jota would become the provider in the 39th minute when he beat his marker to a long ball before passing the ball to Luis Díaz who cut to his right foot and curled it into the right bottom corner.
The home side added to their advantage just before the stroke of halftime time with Alisson Becker's long pass finding the run of Dominik Szoboszlai and the Hungarian squared the ball to Díaz who tapped it into an empty net.
Sevilla manager García Pimienta made 11 changes to the side that started in the first half with Iheanacho being one of the casualties and his fellow compatriot Chidera Ejuke who is a former Liverpool trialist asked to come on.
Ejuke would be involved in the Spanish side's first goal of the game when he dribbled past Trent Alexander-Arnold and Gerard Peque was there to convert the resultant chance into the net with a curly effort.
Youngster Trey Nyoni quickly restored the Reds three-goal lead sixty seconds later, firing a rebound into the bottom corner to extinguish Sevilla's hope of staging a comeback.
Iheanacho and Ejuke will have the chance to make their Spanish La Liga and official debut on Friday when Sevilla take on Las Palmas at the Gran Canaria.
