PSG told Osimhen would be a marquee signing but not on same level as Messi, Mbappe, Neymar, Ibrahimovic

French football expert Julien Laurens reckons Victor Osimhen will be a massive signing for Paris Saint-Germain with the French giants being one of the clubs linked with the Napoli forward.
The Ligue 1 champions are preparing for life without club legend and record top scorer Kylian Mbappé, and are trying to inject more quality to the attack due to the departure of the French forward.
They have been linked with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but Napoli are not ready to dispose of the Georgian star but are ready to let go of Osimhen due to the agreement with him to leave this summer when he signed a new contract last December.
PSG have signaled interest to sign the Nigerian attacker but are not ready to meet his valuation which has prevented them from getting a deal done so far.
There have also been reports that the club manager Luis Enrique isn't in support of signing another superstar after the departure of Neymar Júnior, Lionel Messi and more recently Mbappe.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Laurens stated that PSG are living in denial because he feels that Osimhen may not be at the same wavelength as the departed stars but will also be a marquee signing.
"If they do Osimhen between now and the end of the transfer window, then Osimhen is this huge marquee signing even if he is not the same as Mbappé, Messi, Neymar or Zlatan (Ibrahimović).
"It is still Osimhen, a massive player."
According to Florian Plettenberg, the Nigeria international favours a move to the Parc des Princes rather than Premier League, with Chelsea also considering the possibility of grabbing his signature.
However, the chances of PSG signing the 25-year-old will be determined by whether the club are able to let go either Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before the closure of the transfer window.
