Leverkusen coach, midfielder, forward react to Boniface executing a Thierry Henry-inspired fake shot pass

Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, midfielder Granit Xhaka and forward Florian Wirtz have reacted to Victor Boniface pulling off Thierry Henry's fake shot pass.
The Super Eagles striker pulled off the Arsenal icon's signatory move when the Bundesliga champions defeated Feyenoord 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League fixture played at the De Kuip on Thursday evening.
Florian Wirtz grabbed the opener in the 5th minute before Boniface created the magical moment for the second goal at the half-hour mark.
The talented striker had deceitfully attempted to pass with his right foot but eventually flicked the ball with his left foot to Jeremie Frimpong, a move that Henry often pulled off during his career.
Frimpong then squared the ball to his opposite fullback Alejandro Grimaldo, who tucked the ball home to give the Black and Reds a two-goal cushion.
Another goal from Wirtz and an own goal from Timon Wellenreuther ensured Xabi Alonso's side headed back to Germany with maximum points.
While Boniface wasn't on the scoresheet, he grabbed the headline for his magical moment in the game which didn't come off as a surprise to his teammates.
Speaking after the game to DAZN via Sportbuzzer, Alonso reacted to the Nigerian striker's moment of brilliance
"I had nothing to do with it. That's his quality and a Boni trick," Alonso said.
Xhaka was also quizzed about the same and the midfielder revealed that he wasn't surprised to see the 23-year-old pulled such off.
"It's nothing new for us because he does it often in training. If it works, we're happy. If it doesn't work, he has to keep his actions a bit simpler.
"Of course, that's brutally difficult for the opponent. What is he doing? Is he going to the other foot? Is he playing the ball after all?"
The reaction of man-of-the-match Wirtz wasn't different to that of the former Arsenal midfielder
"That's his signature move. He's the best at it in the world of football. He can do extraordinary things with the ball."
Tonight's clash was the first time that Boniface made an appearance in the Champions League.
