Bayer Leverkusen striker Boniface not in talks with Chelsea, Tottenham amid links with PL duo
Published: September 25, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com can report exclusively with certainty that Victor Boniface is not talks with any club at this very moment amid speculation linking him with Premier League duo Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
It has been claimed that Chelsea have scouted Boniface in recent weeks, most recently on Sunday when he came off the bench to score an injury time winner for Bayer Leverkusen in a seven-goal thriller against VfL Wolfsburg.
Boniface's agency has significant links with both London clubs, having brokered the deal that took David Datro Fofana to Stamford Bridge in January 2023 and held discussions with Tottenham Hotspur over Gift Orban prior to their signing of Brennan Johnson in the summer of 2023.
It is one hundred percent confirmed that there has been no contact between Boniface’s camp and Chelsea or Tottenham about a potential transfer, and it can be stressed that no negotiations have taken place as of now.
Boniface has made it clear that he is happy at Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and he's focused on making his mark in the UEFA Champions League, just as he did in the Europa League few seasons ago.
Although the 23-year-old didn't get on the scoresheet on his Champions League debut against Feyenoord, the highlight of the game was his outrageous piece of skill in the buildup to Bayer Leverkusen's second goal.
The talented striker deceitfully attempted to pass with his right foot but eventually flicked the ball with his left foot to Jeremie Frimpong, a move that Thierry Henry often pulled off during his career.
Boniface was the top scorer in the 2022-2023 Europa League with six goals in ten appearances, while wearing the colours of Belgian team Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
