U18PL: Arsenal's Annous nets hat-trick; Chelsea's Ezenweta and West Ham's Ajala on target
Published: September 28, 2024Chizzy Ezenweta got a goal for Chelsea in the 3-2 win over West Ham United in the U18 Premier League fixture played at the Rush Green Stadium on Saturday.
Josh Ajala gave West Ham the lead in the 10th minute of the game before Sol Gordon restored parity for the away side with a lob over the goalkeeper.
Ezenweta then gave the Blues the lead in the 48th minute, pouncing on a rebound to score his third goal in four matches this season.
Mehmet Halim grabbed the equalizer for the Hammers, converting Preston Fearon's pass into the net but Ollie Harrison's strike from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute handed Hassan Sulaiman's side the victory.
Andre Annous continued his fine start to the season for Arsenal , scoring a hat-trick in their 3-3 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in the U18 Premier League game played at Elite Football Performance Centre.
Shane Nti gave Brighton the lead in the 20th minute before Joe Belmont made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute to hand the home side an early advantage.
Four minutes after Belmont's strike, Annous grabbed his first for the afternoon and three minutes before half-time, the versatile Nigerian forward completed the comeback with a delightful chip.
Two minutes before the stoppage time, the 16-year-old completed his hat-trick and put the Gunners on the road to victory but Tyler Silsby's strike in the 95th minute ensured the points were shared.
Annous has now scored five goals and registered two assists for Jack Wilshere's in the U18 Premier League this term.
