U19 Euro qualifiers: England set to provisionally cap-tie West Ham-owned striker eligible for Super Falcons
Published: November 20, 2024
The English Football Association are set to provisionally cap-tie West Ham-owned player of Nigerian descent Princess Ademiluyi.
The Charlton Athletic forward has been named in the Young Lionesses squad for the 2025 UEFA Women's U-19 Championship qualifying games against Turkey, Italy and Poland.
Born to Nigerian parents in Gravesend, England, Ademiluyi has made a name for herself in English football.
She made her senior debut for West Ham United against Brighton & Hove Albion, showcasing her potential.
Ademiluyi's rise to prominence began at West Ham United's youth academy, where she became the first player from the West Ham United Foundation's Player Pathway to play for the women's team at senior level and sign a professional contract.
Seeking regular playing time, Ademiluyi joined Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan in July 2024.
Although she has yet to score her first goal for the Addicks in the second-tier English football, she has still managed to catch the attention of England's U19 team coaches.
England Women U19s head coach, Lauren Smith, handed Ademiluyi her first call-up for the Young Lionesses' friendly matches in October.
She provided two assists in their 3-1 victory over the Netherlands in the Algarve Cup, marking an impressive first debut. Sporting the number 9 jersey, she played 77 minutes before being substituted.
With her call-up to the Young Lionesses squad, Ademiluyi will be provisionally cap-tied to England if she makes an appearance in any of the forthcoming qualifying games.
