'The other is Osimhen' - Emre names the top two elite center forwards in the world
Published: November 30, 2024
Turkish football expert Emre Bol reckons that there are only two elite center forwards in the world at the moment, including once currently on the books of Super Lig champions Galatasaray.
Emre believes Manchester City's Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland and reigning African Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen are the best of the best, highlighting their significant impact on their respective teams.
Signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland won the European Golden Shoe in 2023, awarded to the top goalscorer in Europe, and has won the Premier League Golden Boot in back-to-back seasons.
The 24-year-old forward has taken the football world by storm at City, consistently breaking records and earning comparisons to the game's all-time greats.
Osimhen has shown remarkable consistency since his departure from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg, netting 122 goals in 218 matches and averaging a goal every two games.
The Nigeria international has been the standout player for a Galatasaray side that remains unbeaten in both the Europa League and the Super Lig.
Emre pointed out that the primary difference between Galatasaray and second-placed Fenerbahçe lies in their goal scorers.
Speaking on the SkySpor YouTube channel, via habersarikirmizi, Emre said: "Osimhen gives such a performance that we say 'Terminator, monster'. Osimhen is a complete actor! He has all the qualities. This guy is the embodiment of that."
He added: "There are already two of them in the world. One is Haaland, the other is Osimhen. There is no other. The others are centre forwards, these are Special centre forwards.
"Fenerbahçe needs to find a centre forward close to this. Your centre forwards are not special."
Osimhen's impressive performances for Galatasaray have placed him among the most sought-after No. 9s in Europe.
