Genk coach reveals why Nigeria's leading scorer Europe's top 15 leagues, Arokodare is a top striker

Racing Genk coach Thorsten Fink has revealed what makes Tolu Arokodare a top striker following his heroics in his side's 2-0 win over RSC Anderlecht in the Jupiler Pro-League game played yesterday at Cegeka Arena.
With eleven goals to his name in the Belgian top-flight, Arokodare is the leading Nigerian scorer in Europe's top fifteen leagues, ahead of Super Eagles marquee forwards Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen who are both on nine goals.
The in-form striker missed a glorious opportunity to open the scoring in the fifth minute having been denied by Anderlecht goalkeeper Colin Coosemans.
He made amends just before the half-hour mark, burying the ball home from Ibrahima Bangoura's pass to net for the tenth league game this season.
He created the second goal, setting up Konstantinos Karetsas inside the penalty area, and the talented forward put the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old could have gotten a brace afterwards when he rose to meet a cross but his header drifted narrowly past the goalpost.
The encounter saw Arokodare face league top-scorer Kasper Dolberg but the Nigerian forward was the hero of the game, scoring one goal and assisting another.
He has one goal less than Dolberg, as the race for the Golden Boot becomes intense and he could become the fourth Nigerian player to win the award after Tosin Dosunmu, Joseph Akpala and Paul Onuachu.
Speaking after the game, Fink revealed why Arokodare is a top striker, while also stating an area of improvement he has noticed in his game.
In quotes relayed by Het Nieuwsblad via voetbalnieuws, the German tactician said: "Tolu is a top striker. He is fast, strong in the air, left and right-footed, and he scores.
"What more could you want as a coach? Moreover, he now also carries out his defensive duties, which he didn’t before.”
Genk occupy the top spot in the Jupiler Pro-League table, having collected three more points than second-placed Club Brugge.
