Published: January 01, 2025
Championship promotion hopefuls Burnley have made a transfer decision over talented Austria U21 international of Nigerian descent, Oluwaseun Adewumi.
The forward joined the Clarets from Austrian side Floridsdorfer AC for an undisclosed fee on deadline day, and was immediately loaned out to Dundee.
Since his move to Dundee, he has played in twelve matches across all competitions and has two goals to his name while providing an assist.
According to Sky Sports UK, Dundee boss Tony Docherty has confirmed the club have an agreement with Burnley to keep winger Oluwaseun Adewumi at the club.
The initial agreement between Burnley and Dundee stipulated that the dual-national player would return to his parent club this month.
The 19-year-old would have been available for selection only for the Premiership matches against Dundee United, St Johnstone and Rangers if his loan deal had not been extended.
Unless something unforeseen happens, Adewunmi will remain at Dundee through the remainder of the 2024-2025 season.
He has yet to make his debut for Burnley, as he was immediately loaned out to the Scottish top-flight club following his acquisition on a four-year deal from Floridsdorfer AC.
During his time at Floridsdorfer, the Vienna native featured in 55 matches, scoring six goals and registering six assists.
