Princess Ademiluyi: West Ham recall 18yo striker from loan spell at Charlton Athletic
Published: January 03, 2025
Through a statement on their official website, England Women's Super League side West Ham United have recalled their talented young striker, Princess Ademiluyi, from her loan spell at Charlton Athletic.
The 18-year-old, who is eligible to play for Nigeria's Super Falcons, had been impressing with her performances for Charlton Athletic in the Barclays Women's Championship.
However, West Ham have decided to bring her back to the fold, and it's clear that they have big plans for her.
Ademiluyi joined West Ham at the tender age of 12 and quickly made a name for herself in the youth ranks.
Her impressive form earned her a call-up to the first team, and she made her senior debut in a league clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at just 16 years old.
Ademiluyi has also been making waves on the international scene, earning call-ups to the England U19s squad and even making her competitive debut in a European Women's Under-19 Championship qualifier against the Republic of Türkiye in late October, provisionally cap-tying her to England.
Due to her competitive matches for England's youth teams late last year, she would need to file a one-time change of association if she decides to represent Nigeria's Super Falcons in the future.
The striker who joined the Addicks from the Barclays Women's Championship side in the summer, managed 13 appearances in all competitions for the club, as they currently sit eighth in the Championship standings
For now, it remains unclear if her recall to the squad will earn her the much needed game time she desires.
