Allnigeriasoccer.com's round-up of the Nigeria-eligible players who scored for their respective clubs in matches across Europe on Sunday, January 5.
In the French Ligue 1, Dutch-Nigerian-Togolese forward Emanuel Emegha was involved in two goals as Strasbourg came from behind to beat Auxerre 3-1 at the Stade de la Meinau.
After going behind, Strasbourg took control of the game in the second half as Félix Lemaréchal made it 2-1 with a precise finish, assisted by Emegha just before the hour mark.
In the 87th minute, the Netherlands U21 international turned from provider to scorer as he netted with a composed finish from close range, ending a six-game goal drought in the process.
In a friendly match between Ajax Amsterdam and VfB Stuttgart in Germany, Chuba Akpom salvaged a draw for the Eredivisie giants.
After being 2-0 down at half-time, Ajax managed to turn the match around in the second half.
Akpom equalized in the 85th minute, slotting home following a low cross from Owen Wijndal, and had a chance to net the winner shortly after his goal but saw his effort saved by the Stuttgart goalkeeper.
The Super Eagles hopeful fired blanks in his last nine league matches before the winter break.
Former Nigeria U23 international David Okereke is enjoying a good run of form in Turkey with Gaziantep FK, having scored for the fifth time in eight Turkish Super Lig matches.
Gaziantep FK and Kasimpasa shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu.
After Kasimpasa took the lead in the seventh minute, the Cremonese loanee equalized two minutes later, slotting home the rebound from close range after his initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis.
