Ola Aina joins Nottingham Forest teammates in trolling Wolves after dominant 3-0 win
Published: January 08, 2025Super Eagles defender Ola Aina joined his Nottingham Forest teammates in mocking Wolverhampton Wanderers on social media following their emphatic 3-0 victory at Molineux on Monday night.
Aina, who has been a standout performer for Forest this season, was involved in a controversial moment during the match when his cross struck the arm of Wolves' Rayan Ait-Nouri inside the box.
However, referee Peter Banks, after a VAR review, decided against awarding a penalty.
Despite the decision, Forest comfortably secured the win, with goals from Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood, and Taiwo Awoniyi sealing the victory.
Anthony Elanga provided the assist for Gibbs-White’s opener, combining brilliantly with the midfielder who scored against his former club.
The victory moves Forest to third place in the Premier League with 40 points, level with Arsenal and six points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Following the game, Elanga took to Instagram to share a celebratory photo of his handshake celebration with Gibbs-White in front of Wolves supporters, accompanied by a handshake emoji.
Aina joined the banter in the comment section, replying, “My boys are warm,” while Callum Hudson-Odoi added fire emojis to the post.
Aina, 28, has played a crucial role in Forest’s impressive form this season, featuring in 20 Premier League matches and scoring twice while excelling both defensively and offensively.
