Fulham advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a commanding 4-1 victory over Watford at Craven Cottage.
Nigerian international Alex Iwobi delivered a lively performance, showcasing his creativity and versatility in the midfield before being substituted in the 66th minute.
The match began with Fulham asserting dominance. Rodrigo Muniz opened the scoring in the 26th minute, calmly slotting the ball into the bottom right corner after a precise pass.
Watford briefly rallied as Rocco Vata unleashed a thunderous strike from distance in the 33rd minute, leveling the score at 1-1.
Iwobi played a crucial role in Fulham's attacking flow. His efforts included a dangerous cross in the 18th minute and a well-placed shot that forced a fine save from Watford’s goalkeeper, Jonathan Bond.
Another key moment came in the 64th minute when Iwobi’s delivery into the penalty area earned Fulham a corner.
Fulham regained their lead shortly after halftime when Raul Jimenez converted a penalty in the 49th minute, awarded after Antonio Tikvic’s foul in the box.
The home side extended their advantage in the 65th minute as Joachim Andersen capitalized on a loose ball to make it 3-1.
Iwobi was substituted moments later, with Martial Godo taking his place. Godo made an immediate impact, assisting Timothy Castagne's close-range header in the 85th minute to seal Fulham’s victory.
