Confirmed: Luton Town loan out 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee to Chesterfield
Published: January 12, 2025
With a statement on the club's official website, League Two outfit Chesterfield have announced the signing of 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Aribim Pepple, subject to FA/EFL approval.
The Luton Town-owned forward will spend the remainder of the 2024-2025 season on loan at Chesterfield.
Born in Kettering, Pepple is eligible to represent his country of birth England as well as Nigeria through his father and Canada, where he was raised.
The 22-year-old began the season on loan at Southend United, where he netted seven goals in 19 National League matches before being recalled on Friday.
Pepple previously enjoyed loan spells at Grimsby Town, Bromley and Inverness Caledonian Thistle due to a lack of first team opportunities at the Hatters.
He has yet to make his first team debut for Luton Town since his arrival at the club from Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC in August 2022.
Commenting on his transfer to the Spireites, Pepple said: "I'm delighted to be here. I hit a good run of form at Southend and I’m just focused on bringing that to League Two.
"Every time I have spoken to the gaffer, it has been good and I’m excited to work with him."
For the remainder of this season, Pepple will wear the number 27 shirt at Chesterfield.
Pepple links up with former Nigeria Olympic National Team invitee Tim Akinola, who was recalled from a loan spell at Dagenham & Redbridge FC earlier this month.
