Published: January 12, 2025
Moroccan-born forward of Nigerian descent Edna Imade, sent a strong message to Super Falcons interim coach Justin Madugu with her impressive goal-scoring performance against Real Madrid in the Spanish Liga F, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Imade's goal in Granada CF Femenino's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid was her tenth league goal of the season, further cementing her reputation as one of the league's best striker.
The 24-year-old forward has been making waves in the Spanish Liga F with her clinical finishing and pace.
Her goal against Real Madrid was one of the highlights of the match, showcasing her ability to score against top-level oppositions.
Imade's performances have been consistent throughout the season, and she has now scored in six consecutive games across all competitions.
Born to Nigerian parents in Morocco but raised in the Spanish city of Seville, Imade is eligible to represent the three countries.
However, the forward has expressed her willingness to play for the Super Falcons, and her performances in the Spanish Liga F suggest that she would be a valuable addition to the team.
The striker, recently voted Liga F Player of the Month for December, beat off stiff competition from top players in the division, including Signe Bruun of Real Madrid and Esmee Brugts of FC Barcelona.
This season, her standout performances have included scoring twice against Eibar, a crucial goal from the spot in a close loss to Real Betis, and a brace in Granada's 3-0 win over Sevilla.
Joining the club from Malaga in 2023, she has now taken her tally to fifteen goals in forty-two league appearances since her arrival.
