Nottingham Forest striker Dennis drawing interest from Championship, Serie A, La Liga clubs
Published: January 13, 2025
Emmanuel Dennis is on the radar of European clubs in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Sky Sports UK is reporting that three Championship clubs, one from La Liga and one from Serie A are interested in signing the Nigeria international.
Dennis was declared surplus to requirements before the start of the 2024-2025 season but the summer transfer window closed with the forward still at the City Ground.
The 27-year-old was not registered by Nottingham Forest for the English Premier League and has not been called up for the FA Cup and Carabao Cup fixtures, an indication that he is not part of the club's plans.
He is behind the likes of Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi, Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi in Nuno Espírito Santo's pecking order of forwards.
Dennis joined the two-time European champions in August 2022 for a fee in the region of €15 million but struggled to establish himself in his first season, scoring just twice in 25 outings across all competitions.
With a lack of first-team chances, Dennis joined İstanbul Başakşehir on loan during the 2023–2024 season, but the stint ended prematurely in January, after which he rejoined Watford for the second half of the campaign.
The former Club Brugge, Zorya Lugansk and Cologne man will enter the last one year of his contract with Forest at the end of the season.
Nottingham Forest are open to considering both loan and permanent transfer offers for Dennis this month.
