Leeds United latest English club interested in signing 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Leeds United ahead of the January transfer window, following a challenging spell at La Liga side Sevilla.
According to Football Insider, Leeds United have registered their interest in signing the 28-year-old forward.
The 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner, who made the move to Sevilla in the summer, has struggled to settle in Spain.
Iheanacho has made 11 appearances across all competitions this season, netting three goals, but has found himself on the periphery of the starting lineup, with only seven of those appearances coming as a starter.
This lack of regular game time has fueled speculation about his future in Spain, and reports suggest Sevilla is open to a January exit as they look to strengthen their forward options.
Iheanacho has previously been linked with moves to Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers, both of whom reportedly engaged in preliminary discussions about a potential transfer.
Leeds, currently leading the Championship with 53 points from 26 games, have been in the market for additional firepower as they aim to bolster their attack ahead of a potential return to the Premier League.
While the club has relied on the likes of Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph, and Patrick Bamford up front, the Whites are looking to strengthen their attacking options, and Iheanacho has been added to their shortlist.
Iheanacho's contract with Sevilla runs until June 2026, with the Spanish club holding an option to extend the deal by an additional 12 months.
