Turkish pundit reveals Osimhen's most likely destination after rejecting Al Ahli this winter
Published: February 12, 2025
Turkish pundit Bülent Timurlenk, provided valuable insights into the future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen after he turned down a lucrative offer from Al Ahli this winter.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market, with top clubs eyeing his signature for the upcoming summer window.
The Nigerian International has been linked with high-profile moves to clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Juventus, alongside the Saudi Arabian side, Al Ahli.
Last summer, he had reportedly reached an agreement with Al Ahli, but the move fell through due to Napoli's failure to finalize terms.
During an appearance on the Sports Digitale YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi, Timurlenk shed light on the details of Al Ahli's offer this winter.
"The Arab team Al-Ahli wanted Victor Osimhen and would have paid 81 million euros. 75 million euros would have gone to Napoli and 6 million euros to Galatasaray, but Osimhen rejected the 30 million euros per year offer," he stated.
Timurlenk further elaborated on Osimhen's potential future, noting that Juventus is also keen to sign him.
However, he pointed out that Napoli's 75 million euro release clause only applies to teams outside of Italy, which significantly limits Juventus's chances of securing the striker.
"Juventus also wants him, but Napoli's 75 million euros release clause applies to teams outside of Italy. Juventus doesn't have much of a chance."
He further predicted that the Nigerian international would secure a transfer to a club within the English Premier League in the summer.
"I think he will continue his career in England next year. Because the fact that he rejected such a large sum of money is a sign of that," Timurlenk concluded.
As the summer transfer window approaches, attention would be on Osimhen, whose decision could shape the future of several top clubs in Europe.
