Published: February 24, 2025
Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika has put himself in the shop window after Club Brugge's historic run in this season's UEFA Champions League.
The Belgian champions caused a sensation last week by eliminating2024 Europa League winners Atalanta from the Champions League, earning impressive victories home and away to set up a mouthwatering clash with Aston Villa in the last 16.
Apart from the home game against Aston Villa, which he missed due to suspension, Onyedika has been in the starting lineup for all of Club Brugge’s Champions League matches.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, via voetbalnieuws, Club Brugge received several offers for their top stars, including Onyedika, in the winter transfer market.
With a transfermarkt value of 16 million euros, Onyedika is attracting interest from elite European leagues.
The Nigerian is being monitored by five European teams, namely Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Porto and AC Milan as well as multiple Premier League clubs.
Signed from FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2022, the FC Ebedei product has logged 127 appearances for Club Brugge and has 10 goal involvements to his name.
The Super Eagles defensive midfielder will enter the last two years of his contract with Club Brugge at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Meanwhile, Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen is sweating over Onyedika's fitness for the Champions League clash against Aston Villa on Tuesday, March 4 after he left the field injured in the first half of their 2-1 loss to Standard Liège last weekend.
