2025 Flying Eagles invitee scores 96th minute equaliser to rescue 3-3 draw for Ipswich U21s v Millwall

2025 Flying Eagles invitee Abube Onuchukwu scored a late, late equaliser to rescue a 3-3 draw for Ipswich Town U21s against Millwall in a Professional Development League fixture at Portman Road on Tuesday night.
Sheldon Kendall found the back of the net, his shot taking a deflection off Edwin Agbaje, to give Millwall the lead nineteen minutes into the contest.
Jaiden Celestine Charles doubled the advantage at minute 56, before Afi Adebayo halved the deficit in the 64th minute when he found the bottom corner.
Millwall restored their two-goal lead in the 75th minute when Celestine-Charles fired the ball home after Kendall's effort from outside the box was parried.
In the 90th minute, Taylor beat the offside trap and slotted home for the hosts, sparking a tense finale in injury time.
Ipswich Town rescued a draw in the 96th minute when Onuchukwu tapped in a left-footed finish from close range after Somto Boniface's cross from the left made its way into the box.
A box-to-box midfielder, Onuchukwu was officially invited to the ongoing Flying Eagles training camp in Katsina but has yet to report for international duty due to club commitments.
He has not abandoned his goal of featuring for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations and believes standout performances with the Tractor Boys' development squad could put him on Aliyu Zubairu's radar.
