Osimhen, En-Nesyri, Icardi, Dzeko or Immobile? Ex-PSG star picks Super Lig's top marksman
Published: March 26, 2025
Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Pascal Nouma has shared his opinion on the best striker currently playing in Turkey's Super Lig, and his choice is clear.
In an interview with Ekol Sports, Nouma declared that Nigeria's Victor Osimhen is the top marksman in the league at the moment.
"The best striker in Turkey right now is Victor Osimhen. Then I would rank En-Nesyri, Icardi, Dzeko and Immobile," Nouma stated as quoted by habersarikirmizi.com, emphasizing Osimhen’s superior quality among the forward options in Turkey.
His comment places the Nigerian international ahead of a list of prominent names, including Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, Galatasaray’s Mauro Icardi, Inter Milan’s Edin Džeko, and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.
Osimhen’s standout performances for both his club and country have earned him praise as one of the finest forwards currently playing in Turkey.
The striker’s combination of physical strength, clinical finishing, and goal-scoring consistency has made him a formidable presence in the Super Lig.
On Tuesday, Osimhen further showcased his importance as a goal scorer when he found the back of the net for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
His goal in the match continued his impressive form, further cementing his reputation as a top-tier striker.
Nouma’s ranking reflects the level of competition in Turkey’s top division, with each of the players he mentioned being among the best in Europe.
However, his clear preference for Osimhen highlights the Nigerian's exceptional impact in the league.
As the Super Lig season continues, it will be interesting to see how Osimhen, along with his rivals, performs in the ongoing campaign, with all eyes on the top marksman in Turkish football.
