Published: April 07, 2025
Moses Simon continues to shine in Ligue 1, delivering yet another standout performance for FC Nantes.
On Friday, April 4, the Nigerian international provided the assist for Douglas Augusto’s goal, helping the Canaries to another crucial result.
The assist marked Simon’s ninth of the 2024–2025 season, setting a new personal record for the winger in French football.
Simon has now recorded 16 goal contributions this campaign—seven goals and nine assists—surpassing his previous best set during his debut season at the club.
His current form has been pivotal for Nantes, with key contributions in recent matches against Lille, Nice, and Le Havre. Beyond his well-known dribbling ability, Simon is now proving to be a complete attacking threat.
His latest assist places him among the top creators in Ligue 1, tied with Rayan Cherki (Lyon), Bradley Barcola (PSG), and Dilane Bakwa (Strasbourg) at the summit of the assist rankings.
All four players have nine assists to their names with six league matches remaining.
Simon’s consistent performances not only highlight his development but also cement his place among the league’s most decisive players.
Currently ranked sixth overall in goal contributions in Ligue 1, he continues to be an essential figure in Nantes’ push for a strong finish this season.
With form on his side and momentum building, Moses Simon has now firmly established himself as one of the standout performers of the 2024–2025 Ligue 1 campaign.
