Confirmed: Danish-Nigerian forward signs new five-year deal with FC Midtjylland
Published: April 12, 2025
Through official channels, Danish Superliga champions FC Midtjylland have announced that Denmark U18 international of Nigerian descent, Julius Emefile has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term deal.
A forward by trade, Emefile is now contracted to the Wolves until the summer of 2030, having put pen to paper on a fresh five-year contract.
The 18-year-old has been offered fresh terms following his outstanding performances for FC Midtjylland youth team.
Since his arrival from FC Copenhagen in June 2024, he has played 21 games and scored ten goals in both the U19 League and the UEFA Youth League.
He notably scored against Manchester City in a UEFA Youth League encounter earlier in February.
On the international stage, Emefile made his debut for Denmark U18s during the latest international break, coming off the bench against Netherlands before a full debut against Wales.
Emefile can slot in anywhere up front, but he's most at home on the left wing.
He's great in one-on-one situations, loves to take on defenders, and stays well-connected to the game.
The dual-national player has shown this season that he can score with either foot and on top of that, he's got the physical attributes — tall, quick and tough to handle.
