Werder Bremen LB attracting interest from West Ham, Fulham and Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle

Werder Bremen left-back Felix Agu is attracting interest from two London clubs Fulham and West Ham United ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
The former Germany U21 international is among the dual-national players on Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle's radar ahead of next month's Unity Cup in England.
Born in Osnabrück, Agu is eligible to play for Nigeria through his father and is not provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth as he was an unused substitute in European U21 Championship qualifiers against Wales and Belgium in 2019.
Chelle's efforts to secure the defender's international allegiance to Nigeria have received a major boost, thanks to the fullback's recent admission that he's eager to don the Super Eagles jersey.
According to Sky Germany, via Sport, both West Ham and Fulham are monitoring Agu closely, with an eye on a potential summer move.
The German-Nigerian defender has impressed with his versatility, having joined Werder Bremen as a right-back but now thriving on the left flank.
Despite having a contract that runs until 2027, Agu reportedly has a release clause in the region of €8 to €10 million—an affordable fee for Premier League sides.
Now in his fifth season at Werder Bremen, the 25-year-old has tallied five goals and eight assists in 92 matches for the Green-Whites, including 59 games in the Bundesliga.
He spent the formative years of his career at Osnabrücker SC and VfL Osnabruck before joining Werder Bremen five years ago.
