Nmecha who snubbed England, Nigeria for Germany makes interesting revelation about Chukwuemeka

Felix Nmecha made an interesting revelation about Chelsea loanee Carney Chukwuemeka after Borussia Dortmund's 3-2 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Easter Sunday.
A product of the Manchester City academy, Hamburg native Nmecha was eligible to represent the Super Eagles through his father before playing a cap-tying game for his country of birth, Germany in a UEFA Nations League clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2024.
Before making his senior debut for Germany, he had to file paperwork for a one-time change of association, having previously played competitive matches for England’s Young Lions.
Nmecha played a key role in Dortmund's win over Borussia Mönchengladbach, netting the second goal for his team to take his tally this season to four in all competitions.
Before Chukwuemeka joined Borussia Dortmund, he and Nmecha had already connected via a religious online community known as "Ballers in God."
"We already know each other through these online things called Ballers in God,” Nmecha was quoted as saying by Ruhr24.
"As soon as he came here, we had a good connection, a good vibe.”
The bond they share off the pitch appears to be translating into strong on-field chemistry.
Though they've only appeared in three matches together, their performances suggest a bright future as a midfield partnership at Borussia Dortmund.
"I have a very good feeling playing with him. I know he just always wants the ball. I do too. And I think it’s working well," Nmecha added.
Founded by footballer John Bostock, Ballers in God is a Christian organization that seeks to disciple professional players and spread the Christian faith throughout the football community, with Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi among its members.
