Brentford fullback Michael Kayode has been named in Whoscored.com Premier League Team of the Week following his outstanding performance during Brentford's 4-3 win over Manchester United this past weekend.
In what was his third start in the English top-flight, the Italy U21 international of Nigerian descent provided his first assist for the Bees, setting up the fourth goal netted by Yoane Wissa.
Kayode isn't the only Brentford player that cracked the Team of the Week, with cap-tied Germany international of Nigerian descent Kevin Schade making the cut.
The Team of the Week is dominated by Leicester City who have contributed three players to the Best XI, namely goalkeeper goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk, fullback Luke Thomas and forward Jordan Ayew.
Chelsea have two representatives in the shape of midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer, while Manchester United are represented by Alejandro Garnacho.
Completing the Team of the Week are: Murillo (Nottingham Forest) , Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City) and Yankuba Minteh (Brighton).
With his first-ever Premier League assist coming from one of two key passes, Kayode impressed further with five dribbles, three clearances, two tackles, and two interceptions, resulting in a WhoScored rating of 8.20.
The Italian-Nigerian right back joined Brentford from Fiorentina in the winter transfer market, with the Bees holding the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
