Peterborough part ways with Ajiboye, Osagie; Adebisi, Aderoju, Odoh retained; Ihionvien transfer listed
Published: May 06, 2025
Following the conclusion of the 2024-2025 season, Peterborough United have announced their retained and released list, including decisions on six Nigerian players.
The Posh confirmed that David Ajiboye has departed the club, while former West Ham United and Celtic youth teamer Justin Osagie has also been released.
Ajiboye took in loan spells at Sutton United, York City and Newport County during his time at Peterborough United.
While Ajiboye recorded 73 appearances for Posh, scoring 4 goals and producing 5 assists, Osagie is departing without making his senior debut.
A product of the Brighton Academy, Ajiboye has also worn the colours of Millwall and Sutton United in the past.
Meanwhile, Rio Adebisi, Abraham Odoh and Pemi Aderoju are under contract for the 2025-2026 season and have been retained.
Adebisi had an injury-plagued season, making just one appearance in League One; Odoh had a breakout campaign with 11 goals and 10 assists in 50 games across all competitions, while Aderoju spent time on loan at non-league clubs Boston United and Farnborough FC.
Bradley Ihionvien, 21, has been made available for transfer, meaning Peterborough United are open to selling or loaning him to another club this summer.
