Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has taken two teenagers of Nigerian descent to Norway for his side's Europa League semifinal second leg clash against Bodo/Glimt, according to Spurs insider Lilywhite Rose.Â
Damola Ajayi, 19, and Callum Olusesi, 18, are both in contention to feature in tonight's match at the Aspmyra Stadion, having traveled with the Tottenham Hotspur squad.
Academy stars Ajayi and Olusesi have been named in the provisional squad, with James Maddison and Son Heung-min unavailable for selection due to injuries.
A forward by trade, Ajayi has been called up for nine first team games so far this season, including three in the Europa League.
He had a dream debut for Spurs, scoring after coming off the bench in a 3-0 rout of Elfsborg back in January.
As for Olusesi, he also made his senior debut in the Europa League, entering the game as a substitute in the 89th minute of a 3-2 win at TSG Hoffenheim on January 23.
Overall, the midfielder has been named in twenty-one matchday squads for first team games this season.
Tottenham Hotspur have one foot in the final following a 3-1 win in the first leg held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham made a blistering start to the first leg, with Brennan Johnson netting the fastest goal in Europa League semifinal history after just 39 seconds, followed by strikes from James Maddison and Dominic Solanke to give the hosts a 3-0 lead by the 61st minute.
Ulrik Saltnes gave Bodo/Glimt a late lifeline, skillfully evading Tottenham’s backline before finishing with composure in the area.
