Back-to-back goals: Man City's Super Falcons-eligible striker making a splash at U17 Euro
Published: May 09, 2025
Manchester City striker Rachael Adedini is making waves at the ongoing European Women's U17 Championship in Faroe Islands.
Born in in Le Havre, France on 20th June 2009, the 15-year-old qualifies to represent the Super Falcons through her family background, but has been provisionally cap-tied to France since 2024.
Adedini has caught the eye at the U17 Euro, scoring in back-to-back games against Spain and Italy.
Her goals weren’t enough to secure victories for France as the Young Blues settled for draws in both matches.
However, the goals were crucial as they prevented France from suffering defeats, with the team coming from behind to secure draws in both matches.
Only Ella Rauscha (Austria), Ranneke Derks (Netherlands) and Marie Preus (Norway), each with three goals to their name, have scored more than Adedini after matchday two of the group stage.
After spells with Ingré and US Orléans, and two seasons at Manchester United, Adedini has been playing for Manchester City since the beginning of the school year.
Adedini is making her second appearance at the UEFA Women’s U17 Championship, having played a vital role in France’s run to the semifinals in 2024, where she scored four goals and finished as the tournament’s third-highest scorer.
The U17 Euro acts as a qualifier for the 2025 Fifa U17 Women's World Cup in Morocco from 17 October to 8 November.
