'A very big name' - Former Besiktas forward says Galatasaray fans are asking him about Osimhen
Published: May 09, 2025
Former Besiktas forward Nihat Kahveci recently revealed that Galatasaray fans have been expressing interest in the potential future of Victor Osimhen.
Speaking on the Kontraspor YouTube channel via habersarikirmizi.com, Kahveci shared his thoughts on the Nigerian striker’s impressive performances and the growing speculation surrounding his future at the club.
Kahveci said, "Galatasaray fans even started asking me about Osimhen. I think even the possibility of keeping Osimhen is a success because the player is a very big name.
"Also, the teams that want him are very big."
His comments reflect the widespread admiration for Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray last summer on loan from Napoli and has been in sensational form this season.
Osimhen has scored 33 goals and provided 8 assists for Galatasaray in the ongoing campaign, setting a new personal record for goals and assists in a single season.
His exceptional contributions have solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s top strikers, attracting interest from several major clubs across the continent.
Given his remarkable form, Kahveci acknowledged that simply keeping Osimhen would be a significant achievement for Galatasaray, especially considering the level of competition from other elite clubs.
Despite the widespread interest in the striker, the possibility of him staying at Galatasaray is seen as a major success for the Turkish giants.
As Galatasaray looks to strengthen its squad ahead of future challenges, Osimhen’s future at the club remains a topic of keen interest.
His next move, whether it’s extending his stay in Turkey or making a permanent move elsewhere, could play a pivotal role in the club’s ambitions moving forward.
